چکیده

In this paper, we present a method for generating high dynamic range (HDR) video through fusion of exposure-controlled frames in a stationary video camera system. Frames captured by commercial video cameras have a limit dynamic range, even if we use auto-exposure control (AEC), and these frames often show saturation areas which may degrade the image quality. To overcome these, in the video sequence alternating short and long exposures, we combine neighboring frames using an image fusion approach, since images under different exposures have different visibility in a scene. When we fuse exposure frames, there are two considerations; controlling exposures and handling moving objects. For the first, we control short and long exposures with the AEC approach. For the other, we adjust fusion masks to reduce ghosting artifacts by moving objects. Our method has the advantage of automatically selecting proper exposure times to make outputs more visible than fixed exposure ones. It also reduces motion blur distortion caused by moving objects in output frames, by using the maskadjustment method which is simpler and faster than frame registration methods. To verify the proposed method, we show experimental results using a real scene.

The study on controlled g-frames and controlled fusion frames in Hilbert C*-modules

Controlled frames have been introduced to improve the numerical efficiency of iterative algorithms for inverting the frame operator on abstract Hilbert spaces. Fusion frames and g-frames generalize frames. Hilbert C*-modules form a wide category between Hilbert spaces and Banach spaces. Hilbert C*-modules are generalizations of Hilbert spaces by allowing the inner product to take values in a C*...

(C; C\')-Controlled g-Fusion Frames in Hilbert Spaces

Controlled frames in Hilbert spaces have been recently introduced by P. Balazs and etc. for improving the numerical efficiency of interactive algorithms for inverting the frame operator. In this paper we develop a theory based on g-fusion frames on Hilbert spaces, which provides exactly the frameworks not only to model new frames on Hilbert spaces but also for deriving robust operators. In part...

A New Unequal Error Protection Technique Based on the Mutual Information of the MPEG-4 Video Frames over Wireless Networks

The performance of video transmission over wireless channels is limited by the channel noise. Thus many error resilience tools have been incorporated into the MPEG-4 video compression method. In addition to these tools, the unequal error protection (UEP) technique has been proposed to protect the different parts in an MPEG-4 video packet with different channel coding rates based on the rate...

A High Dynamic Range CMOS APS Image Sensor

In this paper, a new visible image sensor with 110 dB intrascene dynamic range is reported. The sensor captures four linear response images with different sensitivities simultaneously at 60 frames per second (fps). A real time fusion and dynamic range compression (DRC) algorithm, which is implemented by an FPGA, is also presented. This algorithm can generate a high dynamic range image from the ...

Extending SAR Image Despckling methods for ViSAR Denoising

Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) is widely used in different weather conditions for various applications such as mapping, remote sensing, urban, civil and military monitoring. Recently, a new radar sensor called Video SAR (ViSAR) has been developed to capture sequential frames from moving objects for environmental monitoring applications. Same as SAR images, the major problem of ViSAR is the pres...
